Director of Marketing & Communictions

During my 9-month tenure as Marketing & Communications Director at Kahwa, I handled communications strategy and execution for one of Florida’s most recognized coffee roasters. I worked cross-functionally with franchisees, internal teams, and multiple agencies to lead cohesive campaigns and high-impact activations that drove visibility and ROI.

My role included:

  • Leading the company’s social media agency and collaborating on creative direction and strategy

  • Working alongside marketing team to onboard digital advertising agency, overseeing campaigns, communicating results with franchisees and tracking ad spend.

  • Negotiating contracts and managing digital billboard displays in new markets

  • Handling PR efforts for new cafe openings

  • Providing localized marketing support for franchisees, including community relations, events, and promotions - including the development of a community relations playbook

  • Creating a comprehensive TikTok e-commerce and affiliate marketing strategy

  • Contributing to content creation when needed to fill gaps and streamline efforts

  • Handling cafe audits to ensure brand signage consistency and putting systems in place to do so

  • Working to blend PR, event marketing, and brand storytelling in memorable, impactful ways
