During my 9-month tenure as Marketing & Communications Director at Kahwa, I handled communications strategy and execution for one of Florida’s most recognized coffee roasters. I worked cross-functionally with franchisees, internal teams, and multiple agencies to lead cohesive campaigns and high-impact activations that drove visibility and ROI.
My role included:
Leading the company’s social media agency and collaborating on creative direction and strategy
Working alongside marketing team to onboard digital advertising agency, overseeing campaigns, communicating results with franchisees and tracking ad spend.
Negotiating contracts and managing digital billboard displays in new markets
Handling PR efforts for new cafe openings
Providing localized marketing support for franchisees, including community relations, events, and promotions - including the development of a community relations playbook
Creating a comprehensive TikTok e-commerce and affiliate marketing strategy
Contributing to content creation when needed to fill gaps and streamline efforts
Handling cafe audits to ensure brand signage consistency and putting systems in place to do so
Working to blend PR, event marketing, and brand storytelling in memorable, impactful ways
